University and School functions- Support tools

 · E-mails: You can approach the Student’s Office and ask them to send email invites on your behalf. · University Newspaper: Most universities have a student paper. Articles and press-releases can be submitted for publishing. Inquire with university newspaper office and request to publish a free community announcement. If this fails, request submission deadlines and price lists for paid advertizing options.

· University Radio: Contact the university radio station and inquire about broadcasting announcements for campus events.

· Posters: Use eye catching posters that have general appeal. Posters are most successful if used in combination with other advertizing methods, as reminders and reinforcers.

· Poster at least 10 days before the event. · Ensure that the posters are still on display right up until the event by revisiting the places they were put up. Frequently, other organizations and students poster over them. · Post them in obvious places, following the universities guidelines (ask at the reservation office).

· Create posters that represent the majority of spoken tongues in the school. When a student looks at a poster in his/her mother-tongue, he/she is more likely to take an interest in the events. · Make every effort to ensure that the advertisements also evolve or keep changing when possible.

· Handbills/Leaflets: Should also be used and can either be individually handed to students, placed in their mailboxes (after obtaining the required permission) and left to be picked up in stategic locations.
